Field Evaluation of CRISPR-Driven Jointless Pedicel Fresh-Market Tomatoes

چکیده

Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-driven traits are commonly introduced into tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) in less than a year. Although CRISPR technology is highly suitable for rapid incorporation of new plants with superior breeding backgrounds, the usefulness these must be demonstrated prior to large-scale distribution any variety possessing them. The jointless pedicel trait crucial stem-free harvest fruits and therefore an essential requirement developing low-labor varieties. We aimed evaluate effect CRISPR-driven on yield horticultural fresh-market tomatoes. conducted field trials during three consecutive seasons using related genotypes two elite tomatoes, namely jointed tomato, mutant conventionally-bred near isogenic line (NIL) tomato. Field evaluations confirmed that total medium-, large-, or extra-large-size fruit yields mutants were not statistically different those corresponding their backgrounds stratified by size might varied under growth conditions. did observe negative correlation between genotype fruit/abscission joint detachment force study.

Evaluation of Trichoderma harzianum Strains to Control Crown and Root Rot of Greenhouse Fresh Market Tomatoes

Greenhouse tomato growers in the United States have few products available for chemical control of plant pathogens. Biological control of soilborne plant pathogens by antagonistic microorganisms is a potential alternative to the use of chemical pesticides during greenhouse production. Biological control experiments were conducted to test the effects of commercial and noncommercial strains of Tr...

Evaluation of action threshold-based insecticide spray programs for tomato fruitworm management in fresh-market tomatoes in Virginia

Action threshold-based insecticide spray regimens were evaluated for control of tomato fruitworm (Helicoverpa zea [Boddie]) in freshmarket tomatoes in eastern Virginia in 1998 and 1999. The initial foliar-applied insecticide spray was made based on the presence of X1 H. zea egg on either X2%, X10% or X20% of plants sampled, while subsequent sprays were made on either a weekly basis or only if X...

Evaluation of Efficiency of Signals of Choosing Educational Field From The Perspective of Labor Market Needs

Due to the undesirable phenomenon of graduate unemployment and its negative effects, Addressing the issue of how to major choice is of particular importance. The main question of the research is whether the existing signals of choosing a field have been effective in guiding people in accordance with the needs of the labor market? The method of this research is descriptive-analytical; It has bee...

Mean-field approximation for a limit order driven market model.

A mean-field variant of the model of limit order driven market introduced recently by Maslov is formulated and solved. The agents do not have any strategies and the memory of the system is kept within the order book. We show that the evolution of the order book is governed by a matrix multiplicative process. The resulting stationary distribution of step-to-step price changes is calculated. It e...
